From the deck, walk down the path in the yard to our dock and beautiful Lake Adirondack. Take the canoe for a peaceful glide around the lake, or row the 12' fishing boat. There is a small shed by the lake with life preservers of various sizes and fishing gear. Just off the dock is a swim raft which is fun for splashing into the cool, clear water. No Summer is complete without Cannonball jumps! You might enjoy just sitting on the dock, dipping your feet in the lake and watching for some of the many birds of the Adirondacks. Families of loons and ducks seem to love our little cove. In the evenings, build a fire in the lakeside fire pit and roast marshmallows, sing camp songs, tell ghost stories, or just enjoy the bountiful stars and peaceful evening air. |

We went with Adirondack River Outfitters (ARO) this Summer (2007) and everyone had a fabulous time. ARO has the best prices and includes a chicken bbq afterward. I highly recommend this trip. If you go, tell them you heard about them from Bear Lodge. |

There has recently been a lot of expansion to the slopes including additional trails and a tubing hill. Vertical is 2100 feet with 85 trails. Gore Mountain is 17 miles to the east on Rt 28 in North Creek. |

Whiteface Mountain is located in Lake Placid where the 1980 Olympic were held. It is about 90 miles from Indian Lake, but you may find it exciting to ski there. As you enter the town you will see the Olympic ski jump and bobsled run. You can ride the bobsled with a professional driver. I haven't tried it but I've heard it's an experience. |

Rail biking is pedaling a open rail car on a set of rails. Set in North Creek, 15 miles away along the Hudson, it's a fun trip. Also in North Creek, these classes are a unique and fun experience well worth doing. Check out the town website for more information on events and activities information. |
